About Reg Ballantyne

Reg Ballantyne has spent decades as a respected leader in the health care industry, serving as Chairman of the American Hospital Association, a senior corporate officer with Vanguard Health Systems, a principal of Tenet Health, and now as founder of RMB III Consultancy. Through his extensive board service and executive leadership, Reg has become a trusted authority in the complex world of modern health care delivery. Throughout his career, he has been a passionate advocate for maintaining the humanity of patients, calling for empathy to balance the rapid growth of technology and bureaucracy in medicine. That commitment is reflected in his philanthropic support of the IU Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center inspired by his personal relationship with Dr. Lawrence Einhorn. In Dr. Einhorn’s honor, Reg established the Reginald M. Ballantyne III Award to recognize faculty excellence in cancer research and care.
