Marion Moore Fidlar received three degrees from Indiana University before launching a successful career as an eminent geologist and eventually becoming chief administrator of one of America's great natural fuel supply organizations. He was a prolific writer in the wide field of the earth sciences, covering the hills and plains of his native Indiana and the rocky escarpments of the western mountains, in words of authority and scientific wisdom.
