BIOGRAPHY

Suzanne J. Konzelmann received her B.A. magna cum laude in Economics from Trinity College in Washington D.C. in 1982, and her M.S. in International Business, Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from the University of South Carolina in 1985. She then earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Labor Economics and Industrial Relations from the University of Notre Dame in 1991.

Konzelmann is a Reader in the Department of Management, and Director of the London Centre for Corporate Governance and Ethics at the University of London at Birkbeck. Her research has been primarily concerned with the effects of institutions and organization on economic and social performance. Her other research interests include corporate governance, productive systems, varieties of capitalism, public sector governance and management, human resource management and employment relations, organizational, industry and macro-system behavior and performance.

Konzelmann is the author of The Economics of Austerity published in 2012 and Banking Systems in the Crisis: The Faces of Liberal Capitalism, also published in 2012.

Konzelmann is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, the American Academy of Management, the Association for Evolutionary Economics, the British Academy of Management, the European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy, the Labor and Employment Relations Association, Mu Phi Epsilon, Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Delta Phi, and the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics.
