Leanne Grotke Award (2011)
B.S., 1994

After a storied career at Noblesville, Indiana, High School, Courtney Cox Cole came to IU to play golf and basketball. A two-sport athlete for two seasons, she ultimately focused on golf. Courtney was an All-Big Ten performer in 1991, 1992, and 1993, and an NCAA individual qualifier in 1992 and 1993. Her teams won two Big Ten titles and advanced to the NCAAs three times.

After IU, Courtney joined the family business — Hare Chevrolet in Noblesville. In 2008 she and her sister bought the dealership, the largest Chevrolet dealer in Indiana, from their father. Courtney has served on the I Association board, and for her service to the group, she has received its highest volunteer recognition, the Leanne L. Grotke Award.
