BIOGRAPHYMahmudur Bhuiya earned a B.A. in General Education and an M.S. in Political Science from Dhaka University, a B.S. in Computer Information Systems, a Computer Network Administrator Certification, and an M.S. in Applied Computer Science from Purdue University, and an M.B.A. in 2011 from Indiana University. In addition to being a full-time Database Administrator, Bhuiya serves as adjunct faculty for the School of Business and Management Science at IPFW as well as the ESD Department at Indiana Institute of Technology, Fort Wayne.
As a student, Bhuiya formed the Bangladesh Students Association, and served as the President from 2002 to 2005, to help Bangladeshi students arriving in a vulnerable state as they began their studies at IPFW. Bhuiya received several awards for his outstanding service to the students at IPFW including Student Leader of the Year for 2003-2004, Award for Service to the Students for 2006-2007 from IPSGA, Brain Gain Scholarship Award from the Fort Wayne Educational Board, and most recently the 2007 Distinguished Service Award from the IPFW Alumni Association for his work with students from Bangladesh.
