Anna R. Sevier

BIOGRAPHYAnna R. Sevier received her A.S. in 1990 and her B.S. in 2000 in General Studies from Indiana University. She came to IPFW in 1980 as an employee in University Relations. She retired from the university earlier this year, following service in the Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action office. During the 1990s, Sevier became a member of the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee.
Sevier remains an ardent campus volunteer who has donated countless hours to IPFW alumni and at General Studies events; IPFW's involvement in the Three Rivers Festival, from the Ice Cream Social to Children's Fest; and other activities on campus. Sevier has a particular passion for assisting the Great Men, Great Women Diversity Breakfast event and the Summer Bridge and Summer Youth programs.
In 2000, Sevier was awarded the Pride Plus Award for Excellence in Service by the university. In the community, she has volunteered for literacy initiatives, such as Project Reads and the United Way of Allen County's Learn United program. She is also active in her church, Union Baptist Church, volunteering as an usher.
Sevier was the recipient of IPFW's Distinguished Alumni Service Award in 2009.
