James O. Farlow

Dr. James O. Farlow came to IPFW in 1978 as a Geology Professor. He received degrees from Indiana University (B.A., 1972) and Yale University (M.Phil., 1974; Ph.D., 1980). His area of research was in ichnology and paleontology.

Farlow was made an honorary lifetime IPFW alumni board member in 2007 for his work with museums around the country making measurements of mastodon bones and his work to make sure the IPFW Mastodon statue done in bronze for the Alumni Plaza would be scientifically correct. He was also the recipient of the 2002 Outstanding Research Award.
