The Fineberg Group originally served as single and multi-family residential builders in the greater Indianapolis area, responsible for the construction of over 3,000 residential units and numerous apartment and subdivision complexes. In the mid 60's, The Fineberg Group transformed into a firm for property management and development, and is still based in Carmel, IN under Fineberg's son and grandson.

Fineberg's contributions to the Indiana Memorial Union led the John Wittenberger Society to create a scholarship in his name, awarded to outstanding Union Board members who exemplify the high standards set by Milton J. Fineberg as a student and alumnus, including exemplary leadership on the Union Board of Directors and enthusiastic support of the goals of Union Board and the Indiana Memorial Union.
