Standout men's basketball player Martin Reedus (1987-90) earned his Hall of Fame spot after his three-year career saw him total 1,123 points, 469 rebounds and 399 assists. He remains third on IUPUI's all-time list in assists and 14th in career rebounds. His 160 assists his junior year still rank as the fifth-highest single-season total in school history and the 6-foot-1 guard earned Honorable Mention All-America honors following his senior season after averaging 14.7 points per game to go along with his team-high 5.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. His senior season he helped the Metros to a 23-14 record and a spot in the NAIA National Tournament after winning the District 21 title. During Reedus' three seasons in an IUPUI uniform, the Metros won 60 percent of their games and he missed just one contest in his three years.

The Indianapolis-native also ranks among IUPUI's career leaders in field goal percentage (54.4 percent) and steals (153). He becomes the 14th member of the IUPUI Hall of Fame tied to the men's basketball program.
