Archie played basketball from 1956-58 and was an All-Big Ten and All-American who led the Hoosiers to two Big Ten championships. He was the first player in league history to win Big Ten MVP award twice and led conference in scoring two years and had career totals of 1,546 points, 914 rebounds, with averages of 22.7 points and 13.4 rebounds.
