John Tavener

John won football letters in 1941, 1942, 1943 and 1944 as a center, and was honorary captain in 1943. He was captain in 1944 and Indiana's Most Valuable Player in both 1943 and 1944. John was first team All-American in 1944. He played in 1943 East-West game and in 1944 Blue-Gray All-Star game and played professionally for Miami Seahawks and Green Bay Packers. John was inducted into National College Football Hall of Fame in 1990.
