Amy Unterbrink-Poljan

IUB Athletics Hall of Fame (2004)

One of the most dominant pitchers in IU and Big Ten Conference history, Unterbrink-Poljan was a three-time all-league honoree and closed her career with first team All-American laurels in 1986. The single-season (26) and career (61) shutout leader in school history, Unterbrink-Poljan also owns Indiana's single-season (0.40-1986) and career (0.53) ERA standards. She posted the top six single-game strikeout marks in school history, highlighted by a 19 strikeout effort against Texas on March 17, 1986. Indiana's 1986 Female Athlete of the Year set the Big Ten single-season ERA record at 0.21.

Unterbrink-Poljan lives in Owosso, Mich., with her husband, Richard and their six children. She calls the induction a significant individual and team moment.
