John A. "Jack" Hillerich is the former CEO and President of Hillerich & Bradsby Co., the Louisville, KY-based company that makes the famous Louisville Slugger bat. He took over the position at the age of 29 after his father's death in 1969 and stepped down in 2001 for his son, John Hillerich IV to take over. He remains the Chairman of the Board at the company. During his leadership, the company began developing the first aluminum bats in 1970, and Hillerich brought the company headquarters, factory, and museum back to downtown Louisville from Indiana. Hillerich's efforts as the company CEO and president was instrumental in the revitalization of downtown Louisville.

He has been a longtime benefactor of Indiana University-Southeast, and is currently a member on the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries and the Board of Trustees of The W. Edwards Deming Institute. He received the Chancellor's Medallion in 2002.
