BIOGRAPHY

Elizabeth Billman is a retired teacher, having spent 39 years in education. She received her B.S. and M.S. in elementary education from Indiana University. She began teaching in 1972, spending her career at Washington Township Elementary School and Thompson Elementary School in Indiana. In 1994, she was promoted to principal of Thompson Elementary, where she led until her retirement in 2011.

Billman was active in the community. She was a member of Alpha Epsilon, United Teaching Profession, Logansport YMCA Board, United Way, League of Women Voters, and the Cass County Community Foundation, holding various leadership positions. She received the 2008 Distinguished Alumni Award from IU Kokomo in 2007.
