Susan Sciame-Giesecke

Dr. Susan Sciame-Giesecke is the current Interim Chancellor at IU Kokomo, stepping in after Chancellor Michael Harris stepped down in September 2012. She earned a bachelor's degree in speech communication from Ball State University in 1976, a master's in speech communication from Illinois State University in 1977, and a Ph.D. in speech communication from IU Bloomington in 1995.

She has been at the university since 1977 as a Professor of organizational communication, with a focus on improving communication interactions for collaboration and productivity. Throughout her time at IU Kokomo, Dr. Sciame-Giesecke has served various leadership positions including dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, and chair of the Department of Humanities.
