BIOGRAPHY

Doug Wasitis is the assistant vice president for federal relations in the Office of Government Relations at Indiana University. Wasitis earned a B.S. in political science from Indiana University Bloomington. He served on the House Appropriations Committee staff, U.S. House of Representatives, Washington, D.C.. In 1997, he was named senior vice president at Sagamore Associates, Washington D.C., and senior vice president at B&D Sagamore, Washington, D.C.. (2000-2005). Wasitis was joined the staff at Indiana University as director of federal relations in 2005, and was named assistant vice president for federal relations in 2013.

Wasitis received the IU Bicentennial Medal in August 2019 in recognition of his distinguished service as assistant vice president for federal relations at Indiana University.
