Thomas Ehrlich Service Learning Award
The award is named after Indiana University President Emeritus Thomas Ehrlich, who led the university from 1987 to 1994. It is presented at the Celebration of Distinguished Teaching and Service each spring. Furthermore, the recipient becomes Indiana University's nominee for the national Thomas Ehrlich Civically Engaged Faculty Award the following year. Nominations are accepted each fall and successful nominees will be expected to prepare a dossier for full consideration.
This award, first conferred in 2001, honors faculty members who have shown outstanding leadership in integrating community and public service into their curricula.
