BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University Jacobs School of Music faculty and alumni have garnered numerous nominations for the coveted 2023 Grammy Awards.
Three Jacobs School representatives are nominated for their contributions to “Verdi’s Requiem: The Met Remembers 9/11,” competing for Best Choral Performance. Multi-Grammy-winning faculty member Michelle DeYoung, mezzo-soprano, and alumna Ailyn Pérez, soprano, are featured soloists on the recording, while trombone professor Denson Paul Pollard, also a multi-Grammy Award winner, is nominated as a member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
