From 2013-2025, the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and Learning Technology was awarded to recognize faculty who made significant contributions to enhancing the classroom experience with new technologies.
Their ability to continually adapt and integrate technology into their teaching methods and assignments encouraged student learning, motivation, and creativity. These awardees used technology to change their classroom experience and influence the way teaching can be done throughout the university.
Beginning in academic year 2025-2026, recognition for excellence in teaching and learning technology may be an important basis for the Frederic Bachman Lieber Memorial Award for Distinguished Teaching, the Herman Frederic Lieber Memorial Award for Distinguished Teaching, the President's Award for Distinguished Teaching, or the Sylvia E. Bowman Award.
