The Wells Senior Recognition Award was created in 1962 in honor of Herman B Wells, former president and chancellor of IU. The award recognizes seniors who showed exceptional academic achievement and made meaningful contributions to the campus community through leadership and participation in campus activities. This is the top academic award for undergraduates on the Bloomington campus.
These awardees excelled personally but also helped create a better campus for all through their work in student groups, volunteer programs, and extracurricular activities. Their contributions to the student experience will be felt by many generations of Hoosiers.
