Identifying areas of historical significance
Historical honors and projects focus on Indiana University’s history. The Indiana University Historical Marker Program is one of the university’s projects that document the past and offer avenues for commemorating people, organizations, places, and events that have made a significant impact on the institution.
These efforts also provide IU with the opportunity to expand the university’s historical narrative for those who have attended and worked at IU during its 200-year history. Historical honors and projects are administered by University Honors and Awards.
