Aiming to build a global network of future leaders committed to improving the lives of others, the Gates Cambridge Scholarship is a competitive, full-cost scholarship awarded to outstanding applicants from outside the U.K. to pursue a postgraduate degree in any subject at the University of Cambridge. The scholarship was created in 2000 by a gift from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to the University of Cambridge.
Approximately 80 scholarships are awarded each year to scholars from around the world, and just 25 available to U.S. students. The university is proud of the IU scholars who met the criteria of the program, including outstanding intellectual ability, commitment to improving the lives of others, and leadership potential.
