Identifying areas of historical significance
Historical honors and projects focus on Indiana University’s history and include the Bridging the Visibility Gap Initiative and the Indiana University Historical Marker Program. These projects document the past and offer avenues for commemorating people, organizations, places, and events that have made a significant impact on the institution.
These efforts also provide IU the opportunity to expand the university’s historical narrative, making it more inclusive for those who have attended and worked at IU during its 200-year history. Historical honors and projects are administered by University Honors and Awards.
