Shawn Reynolds was associate vice president for international affairs. His responsibilities included establishing new strategic institutional partnerships, overseeing the approval process for all university international agreements, and coordinating engagement with international alumni.
He worked at Indiana University from 1997 to 2023. He was previously director of IU’s International Resource Center. He also served as associate director of the Center for International Development Assistance where he helped manage IU’s institution building efforts with the American University–Central Asia in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and South East European University in Tetovo, Macedonia. Prior to working at IU, he worked for Pacific World Trade, Inc., a trade and consulting company, and the Indiana Department of Commerce, International Trade Division. He holds a Master of Arts in East Asian studies from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts in geography from Valparaiso University.
In 2020, Shawn Reynolds received the Bicentennial Medal for his distinguished service to Indiana University. In 2023, he was honored with IU's Distinguished International Service Award.
