About Lisa Landrum

Dr. Lisa Landrum completed her undergraduate degree at Oklahoma Christian University in Biology/Pre-Med and was a member of the women’s basketball team, graduating in 1989. She completed her Ph.D. in physiology at the University of Oklahoma in 1998. She started medical school three days after her dissertation defense at the University of Oklahoma and received her M.D. in 2002 as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. Landrum is the Mary Fendrich Hulman Professor and Division Director in Gynecology Oncology at the Department of OB/GYN and Simon Cancer Center at Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM).

Landrum matched for residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and was an administrative chief resident in her final year. She matched for fellowship training in gynecology and oncology at the University of Oklahoma in 2006. Following the completion of her training, she was hired at the University of Oklahoma and Stephenson Cancer Center in 2009 where she practiced for 11 years. Landrum served as the OB/GYN Residency Program Director from 2015 to 2021.

She has received numerous teaching awards, including the Chairman’s Distinguished Teaching Award in 2012, the APGO Student Education Award in 2012, the APGO/CREOG National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2010 and 2013, and the Provost Teaching Award in 2020. More recently, she was awarded the Leonard Tow Gold Humanism Award in 2020. Dr. Landrum also serves as an oral board examiner for both the specialty exams and the gynecology and oncology exams. She has written seven book chapters and published 50 peer-reviewed journal articles. In her time away from the office, she enjoys hiking, gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
