IU Indianapolis Spirit of Philanthropy Award - 2025

About Matt Cook

Matt and Nichole have been long-time supporters of IU Indy Athletics and recently established the first endowed scholarship for the IU Indy Women’s Swimming and Diving program. Nichole is a former Jaguar student-athlete and was a 4-year captain and member of the inaugural women’s swimming team here. She also serves as a member of the Jaguars Athletic Fund board.

With Nichole being a scholarship student-athlete, and later becoming an assistant coach of the program, she has a unique understanding that the annual operating budgets for Olympic sports rarely cover all the actual expenses and constantly encourages alumni to give back. The pride she feels for the Jags is unmatched, and she is blessed that her and Matt are in a position to humbly “pay it forward” for the next generation of Jaguar student-athletes, and specifically, future Jaguar women’s swimmers.
