Edwin D. Disborough was the former Vice President of Beatrice Foods Company, and former President of Samsonite Luggage in Denver, Co. He also worked as a consultant for Coors Brewing Company. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from University of Louisville. Disborough also receieved his bachelor's and master's degrees from Indiana University in 1951 and 1953, respectively. As an IU alumnus, he was a member of the Dean's Advisory Council and Distinguished Alumni Fellow in the Kelley School of Business.
In his long career, Disborough worked for numerous companies, including General Electric, ECA, and Hallmark in marketing positions and as a board member. He also was involved in higher education, acting as a professor in the College of Business at the University of Colorado; a past president of the Student Leadership Institute at the University of Colorado; trustee and regent at Regis University in Denver; regent at Rockhurst College in Kansas City; and trustee at Rockhurst High School in Kansas City. Disborough was active the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry and the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. After he left Beatrice Foods and Samsonite, Disborough joined Coors in 1987 to assist in changing its corporate structure and remained there until his death in 1997.
