About George Zundo

George R. Zundo, earned his bachelor's degree in chemistry in 1976 and graduated from the IU School of Dentistry in 1980. George has been an avid supporter of IU Bloomington, IUPUI, the IU School of Dentistry and the IU School of Dentistry Alumni Association. He has given more than two decades of continuous service to the IUSD Alumni Association, either as an alumni board member or as the IU Alumni Association Executive Council representative for the dental school. He has served the school's alumni board not only as a member but also as its vice president and president.

Zundo is usually the first person to volunteer for a committee, an event or a student activity at the School of Dentistry. For the past 12 years, he has taken the lead on the annual School of Dentistry alumni cruise, which takes about two years to plan and involves about 200 alumni, handling all of the details with enthusiastic commitment.

Zundo is currently working on a program to connect out-of-state alumni to the IUSD Alumni Association through webinars and regional events and by recruiting alumni as speakers. He is also working on a program to assist first-year graduates as they transition into practitioners by helping them navigate challenges after graduation.
