About Michael D. Gunther

Gunther was born in Valparaiso, Indiana, in 1948. He studied mathematics at Indiana University (1969), Cambridge University (1970), and Stanford (1974). Gunther joined IBM in 1974, where he held a variety of management and technical positions before retiring in 2003. His most recent interests include travel photography and the study of ancient art and architecture.
