Aasiya Mirza graduated from St. Mary's Episcopal School in Memphis, Tenn. She English at Indiana University Bloomington, where she was a Wells Scholar.
At IUB, she was president of RHA at Collins Living-Learning Center (LLC), president of ABE (Lincoln) at IU, a member of the committee for fee review, vice-chair for the LLC arts council, and secretary of the Muslim student union. She was also a member of the Board of Aeons.
After graduating from IUB, Aasiya completed a year of service with City Year in Chicago. She was also a legal fellow at the Mossawa Center, the Advocacy Center for Arab Citizens in Israel.
Aasiya holds an MPhil from Cambridge University in English literature. At Cambridge, she served as co-Academic Officer of the MCR of Churchill College. She is currently completing her J.D. at the University of Chicago Law School.
