John Brown, a senior from Rockford, IL, is a Wells Scholar with a double major in mathematics and English. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, president of Math Club, a member of the Board of Aeons, and worked at the Math Learning Center. He studied abroad in France, worked at the National Security Agency, and did research at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington. He has served on the Scholarship Advisory Committee, as a docent at the IU Art Museum, and a former IDS opinion columnist. He sings and plays the guitar and cello.
A recipient of a Gates Cambridge Scholarship, John is completeing a Master of Advanced Study from Cambridge University in pure mathematics.
