Mary Ann Tucker retired in 1998 from the BFGoodrich Company, where she was vice president and associate general counsel. While at BFGoodrich, Ms. Tucker was responsible for all intellectual property matters, including obtaining and enforcing the company's patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. Following retirement she founded the Tucker Law Offices, an intellectual property law practice. Prior to joining BFGoodrich, Ms. Tucker held a similar position at Bausch & Lomb, and also was assisstant general patent counsel at Eli Lilly and Company.
Ms. Tucker received a MBA in 1981 and a law degree in 1973 from Indiana University. She also holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in chemistry from Iowa State University and North Dakota State University. Active in community and professional activities, Ms. Tucker served on the Department of Commerce International Advisory Committee on Intellectual Property and Trade, is a past president of the National Inventors Hall of Fame and the IU School of Law-Indianapolis Alumni Association, and is a recipient of the Maynard K. Hine Medal for alumni service. She and her husband, Robert, divide their time between their homes in Brownsburg, Indiana and Wesley Chapel, Florida.
