Dr. Lawrence Rink is a pioneer in cardiac medicine. He has been involved in numerous cardiac drug studies on a national scale, but continues to serve the Bloomington community as a Chairman, President & CEO, and Cardiologist at Internal Medicine Associates (IMA). After completing his medical degree, residency, and fellowship at IU, Dr. Rink continued to be a part of the IU family by serving the men's basketball team as a team physician since 1978. Dr. Rink is also the course director for cardiology for IUSM students who elect to spend their last two years of medical education in Bloomington. In 2020, Rink was awarded Indiana University's Bicentennial Medal in recognition of his distinguished contributions and longstanding friendship and support of the university.
