About Gayle Belvins

Gayle was the women's softball coach from 1979-1987; she led IU to Big Ten Championships in 1979, 1980, 1983, 1986. Her teams played in the College World series five times, with a 2nd place finish in 1980 and a 3rd place finish in 1986. In 1983 and 1986 Blevins' teams were the NCAA Midwest regional champs. In 1986 named both Regional and National Coach-of-the-Year. Overall coaching record of 301-146. Is currently head softball coach at the University of Iowa.
