About Thelma Stanley

Thelma Stanley was married to P. Merton Stanley for 75 years and supported his career as lawyer, Howard County Circuit Court judge, chairman of the Public Service Commission of Indiana, Indiana State Senator while becoming active in numerous organizations in the Kokomo community. In particular, she was a strong supporter for the church, Legislative Wives, and Indiana University-Kokomo.

In 2000, IU Kokomo awarded her the Distinguished Service Award.
