About Lars Willnat

Willnat received his PhD from Indiana University. While at IU, Bloomington, he served as Director of Graduate Studies in the School of Journalism. In past years, he taught at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 2016, he became Professor and Director of the School of Journalism and Media at the University of Kentucky, and has since moved on to Syracuse University where he is Professor and John Ben Snow Endowed Research Chair in Communications.

His research focuses on comparative media studies and political communication in Asia.
