Iris Summers graduated from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs in 2012 with a degree in public administration and a minor in apparel merchandising. Currently, she is a consultant in the Healthcare Clinical Operations department at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Indianapolis. Also, Summers is working towards her master's of public administration with an expected graduation date of 2014.
At IU, Summers worked as a teaching assistant in the IU Apparel Merchandising and Interior Design Department and served as a legislative intern in the Indiana State Senate. She also served as the external philanthropy chair for the Phi Mu sorority and has been actively engaged in raising funds for organizations such as the Children's Miracle Network and Riley's Children's Hospital through her participation in the IU Dance Marathon. She was selected as one of 18 SPEA students to travel to Seoul, South Korea, to perform research in public transportation. In 2010, Summers was awarded the Sue H. Talbot HHE Volunteer Award Scholarship.
