Jerry J. Burgdoerfer was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Berkey Photo, Inc. in New York, NY. He was appointed to the position in February 1979 at the age of 43 and tasked with reducing the company's debt burden. He succeeded in making Berkey Photo profitable again by restructuring the company and hiring top talent to improve the sales and operations of Berkey's amateur film processing division.
