Robin Milhausen is a Canadian sexologist, professor and talk show host. In 2004, she began hosting the talk show Sex, Toys & Chocolate on Life Network and Discovery Health in Canada. She edits the newsletter Sexual Science, published by the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality.
After attending the University of Guelph in Ontario for her bachelor's degree in psychology and her master's degree in human development and human relations, Milhausen earned her Ph.D. at Indiana University, with a minor from the Kinsey Institute of Human Sexuality. She won the outstanding student research award from the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality in 2003. Milhausen took post-doctoral fellowships at Emory University in 2004-05 and the University of Windsor's Social Justice and Sexual Health Research Centre in 2005-06. In 2006, she became an assistant professor of sexuality and family relations at the University of Guelph.
Her current research focuses on the dynamics of human sexuality, and her PhD dissertation was on women and sex. She takes a non-medical approach to women's sexuality, looking at factors that influence women's sex lives and sexual arousal: children, relationships, jobs, financial worries.
