About Josh Roberts

Josh Roberts, from Bronson, MO, graduated with a degree in Jazz Percussion from the Jacobs School of Music. A student of Steve Houghton and Ari Hoenig, Roberts has had the privi- lege of performing with Jamey Aebersold, John Fedchock, Ari Hoenig Quartet, Rich Perry, John Bailey, Tony Kadleck, and Andre Nendza. Roberts was selected to perform at the 2014 NYC Jazz Festival at Lincoln Center and the 2013 Monterey Jazz Next Gen Festival. He was the leader and composer for his trio LAJ. As and undergraduate, Roberts played in IU’s top ensemble, the Brent Wallarab Jazz Ensemble.
