Laura Douglas graduated with a B.A. in Political Science, with minors in Economics and French. Douglas was a Cox Research Scholar at IU and conducted research about sexual assault on college campuses with Justin Garcia of the Kinsey Institute.
In her freshman year, Douglas served as the Director of Women's Affairs for the Indiana University Students' Association and focused strongly on sexual assault prevention. Later in her career, Douglas was the Director of Sustainability for IUSA. Her passion for social justice led Douglas to co-found Culture of Care, a student-led initiative to create a more positive campus community. Douglas was Culture of Care's Director of Sexual Well Being for two years, as well as its Director of Research and Administration for one year.
After graduation, Douglas attended Stanford Law School to pursue a career in Public Interest Law. Douglas is from Zionsville, IN.
