Sasha Zawadsky-Weist graduated with majors in Psychology and Spanish and a minor in Brazilian Portuguese. While at IU, Zawadsky-Weist studied abroad in Seville, Spain, where she was a part of the Intercambio Language Exchange Community. She was involved in research and the arts, presenting her original research in Sociolinguistics at the IU Bloomington Themester Symposium and receiving a Canvas Showcase Award for her photography from the Hutton Honors College.
Zawadsky-Weist was involved with the local community as a part-time language and culture teacher at Monroe County United Ministries Elementary School. She volunteered with many organizations, including the IU World Language Festival, Lotus Festival, the SPROUTS co-op community garden, for IU's Welcome Week, and for IU's Culture Fest. She was also a Field Assistant for Dow Agrosciences.
Following graduation, Zawadsky-Weist accepted a position with Citi Bank as a Learning and Development Specialist, later moving on to a position as a Compensation Analyst.
