About Gayle Blevins

Blevins was the IU women's softball coach from 1979-1987; she led IU to Big Ten Championships in 1979, 1980, 1983, 1986. Blevins teams played in the College World series five times, with a 2nd place finish in 1980 and a 3rd place finish in 1986. In 1983 and 1986 Blevins' teams were the NCAA Midwest regional champs and in 1986 she was named both Regional and National Coach of the Year with an overall coaching record of 301-146. Blevins is currently head softball coach at the University of Iowa.
