About Thomas G. Williams

Tom Williams was a 1980 Indiana University alum and has worked at IU for nearly three decades. His early career included both sales and contracts and negotiations, first for Denver’s O.J. Watson Co. and then for the Cincinnati Floor Company. For over 20 years, Tom served in the senior leadership position of Director of Administration in the University Architects Office. In that capacity, he oversaw construction management services, consultant services, and bidding/contracting issues. Prior to his retirement, Tom also held a dual role between UAO and Athletics to oversee all athletic capital, R&R, and other projects. Tom was astute in logistics and facilities business, and was a positive ambassador and problem solver in his personal relationships both in and outside the University. Throughout his career, Tom oversaw more than $2.5 billion in University construction, most of that occurring within the last decade.
