About John McBride

John McBride is chairman of the board for West End Bank. Prior positions of leadership include serving as West End Bank’s president and CEO from 2003 to 2014. McBride’s support of Indiana University East has been instrumental; during his time at West End banks, the number of IU East alumni working for the company dramatically increased, including positions of senior leadership.

McBride contributes to numerous civic and charitable organizations including Boys and Girls Club of Wayne County, Forest Hills Country Club, Wayne County Economic Development Commission, Reid Health, Wayne County Foundation, and Richmond Symphony Orchestra. McBride was a key contributor to the establishment of the West End Bank Charitable Foundation. This foundation was instrumental to the development of IU East’s fifth building, the new student events and activities center. In 2019, McBride was honored with Indiana University’s Bicentennial Medal, in recognition of his distinguished support and longstanding relationship with the university.
