Mr. Yasunori Hattori has been the Chapter President in Japan since 2007 after Yasuhiro Obata. In the last decade, he has continued to lead this chapter into its sixth decade of existence. Established in 1964, the Japan chapter is the oldest of IU's 47 global communities. Hattori has been an exemplary representative of his alma mater, contributing to the chapter's success and global impact. Mr. Hattori has served on the Kelley Global Dean's Council since its inception in 2014 and has provided leadership to the Global Alumni Leaders Council since its beginning in May of 2015. As President of the chapter, Mr. Hattori has arranged events with visiting Indiana governor delegations, collaborated with the Purdue alumni association to hold joint events, led the arrangements of the chapter's annual event and hosted IU presidential delegations multiple times.
