About Corrine Kumar

Kumar is a 2014 graduate of Bloomington High School North, where she was valedictorian of her senior class.

At IU, she majored in Chemistry and Neuroscience, with a minor in Psychology. Her research in the computational chemistry lab, under the direction of Dr. Krishnan Raghavachari, focused on studying various transition metal sulfide complexes and probing their candidacy as potential photocatalysts for hydrogen generation from water. She was a member of Science Outreach Society, co-president and co-founder of Hoosier St. Jude Ambassadors, and IU Journal of Undergraduate Research.
