About Fan Bu

At age fifteen, Fan Bu arrived in the U.S. as a Chinese international exchange student. While at IU, she studied finance and accounting with co-major in technology management in the Kelley School of Business. From 2014-17, she served as Vice President of the Chinese Scholars and Student's Association at IU. She was also an International Cultural Liaison from 2016-17. As Finance Director of Ascend Leadership, she collaborated with Ascend board members and within the Finance Department to plan social and professional events that benefited students by providing funding solutions through school and sponsors. As a board member of Aeons from 2017-18, Fan served under IU President McRobbie to lend informed student perspectives on campus issues. In her role as Program Coordinator for the Office of International Services, she created and planned group activities for international students on the IU campus to help them get acclimated to campus.
