Donald Weaver earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Indiana University in 1961.
Before becoming director of Indiana University's Office of State Relations, Don was the University Facilities Management & Planning Director (1964-89), an analyst for the University Budget Office (1963-64), and an analyst for the University Systems & Methods (1961-63). Don's work at Indiana University was recognized with the presentation of the E. Ross Bartley Award, the university's highest staff honor. He also served as timekeeper for the Little 500 bicycle race for a number of years.
In addition to his work at Indiana University, Don is actively involved in the Bloomington community by volunteering his service to the Faith Lutheran Church, the Boys and Girls Club, the IU Credit Union, Bloomington Little League, and the annual North-South All Star football game. He has also been appointed to the Midwest Commission for Higher Education, an organization devoted to improving the quality of higher education. Don retired from IU in 2003 and is an active leader in the Indiana University Retirees Association.
