Van Knopf of Eastwood, Kentucky, graduated Indiana University Southeast in 2017 with a B.A. from the School of Social Sciences' History Program. He was awarded a Fulbright U.S. Student Program grant in 2019 to travel to Germany and participate in an English teaching assistantship.
